How to stay fit on holiday… 🌴

  1. SWIM SWIM SWIM!!

Great Cardio, low impact and for everyone! If you want to push yourself on the cardio, take 1 length at a normal pace and the 2nd lane with speed and continue this for 10 lengths. Take a 2 minute break and start again. Do this 3 times over (ie. 30 lengths!)

  1. RUN, RUN FOR THE SUN!

Barefoot running along a beach is a great workout. Running on sand means less impact on the body, although it is harder to run on the sand and will burn more calories. Don’t forget your sun lotion!

  1. OWN BODY WEIGHT WORKOUT!

Who needs equipment when you can train just as efficiently with your own body weight? You can do the following exercises either by the pool, on the beach or in your room .. so grab yourself a sun lounger mat or a towel and get on it…

Press Ups

3 Sets of 10 with a 1-minute break in between (body facing down on the floor, arms out shoulder width, on the balls of the feet or on your knees, gently lower the body down to hover above the ground and back up again

Pull Ups

Find a branch or a door frame (or football Goal/climbing frame. 3 Sets of 10 with a 1-minute break in between. Pull your entire body weight up so your chest raises up towards your chest/grip and then lower

Tricep Dips

On the side of the bed/a bench/sun lounger (make sure it’s sturdy!!) Perch your hands on the edge of the apparatus, bend your knees, feet flat on floor, raise hips and slowly lower the body down using only the arms, note arms stay close to the body on lowering down

Work towards 3 sets of 10 Push Ups, Pull Ups and Tricep Dips and you’ll have Michelle Obama arms in no time!

🏋️ Have fun! 🏊‍♀️
