Trampoline parks are popping up all over the UK as trampolining becomes the latest craze. But if you’ve never visited anywhere like Rush before, we understand it can be daunting. You might not know what to wear to jump in or if there is an age limit for trampolining and other activities. We’ve put together this helpful guide so you know what to expect on arrival.
To book in advance or not?
Every trampoline park is different, but mostly it is advisable to pre-book a time slot as there can only be so many people on the trampolines at once. You can easily book a jump session online, and then on arrival you won’t have to wait. Most of the time Rush can accommodate walk-ins, however during the school holidays and at weekends it’s always best to book in advance. You can choose one or two hours of open jumping.
Sign on the dotted line
Before you’re allowed into the activity area, you will have to sign a waiver form for you and any children you are the legal guardian of. This is a standard procedure for these types of activities and you only have to complete one annually.
Remove jewellery and belts
When it comes to what to wear for trampolining, you should just choose clothing which you are comfortable in and won’t restrict you when jumping. Belt buckles and studs are not allowed for safety reasons, or any jewellery or piercings. You can put your belongings in a locker before entering the trampoline area.
Put on your socks
For health and safety, all jumpers must wear special non-slip socks. These can be purchased for a small amount and are yours to keep, so you can wear them each time you back to bounce.
Once you’re ready it’s time to explore the trampoline park! At Rush Birmingham we have a main court of trampolines, tumble lanes, foam pits, an assault course, dodgeball courts and more. Time to get practicing your skills or playing extreme dodgeball or slam dunk!
Once you’ve tired yourself out, you can stay a little longer at Rush to recharge. Whether you need to kill those hunger pains with a bite to eat or just crave some refreshments, the coffee shop is the place to be. Here, members of your party who don’t wish to jump can also stay and watch as it overlooks the trampoline park.
